Outreach Camps
Brick factory and carpet factory
The factories workers are large groups of people from rural areas with a majority of extremely vulnerable migrant woman. Some work seasonally, others all year round depending on the line of work. Most of the brick kiln workers live in temporary hut with very limited access to drinking water and sanitary facilities. We periodically screen for any illness and malnutrition problems. For pregnant and lactating mothers if required we provide stock of foods which will be sufficient for about one month. During the screening campaign if required we facilitate them to visit at the local hospital.
Nagarkot Community Clinic
Once a month, we visit Nagarkot community health center and conduct mother group. We assess growth by taking height and weight and interact with mothers for any health issue with their children and families. We also do home visits if there are eligible mothers (delivery within one month period).
School Health camps
Our team regularly conduct health camp at the local schools and also incorporate with the local Kathmandu Medical College (KMC) for dental health screening. During the school health camp, we assess growth by taking height and weight and our doctors check up students and interact with school teacher on child health.
