Home Visit Nurse Training In partnership with Chimalaya Charity Denmark and Dhulikhel Hospital, Chimalaya Charity Nepal hosted a program on “Training in Child Home-Based Care.” All together following 3 training programs were held at Dhulikhel Hospital. 1. First training- 7-11 Nov, 2022 2. Second training- 17-22 March, 2023 3. Third training- 8-12 October, 2023 These trainings were coordinated by following resource personnels. Lone Haahr Mogensen, a child home nurse Lene Hesse Rasmussen, a pediatricians from Denmark, Prof. Srijana Dangol from DH and Dr. Manjeswori Ulak and Dr. Ram Krishna Chandyo from Chimalaya Charity Nepal The training was attended by a total of 20 nurses from various organizations, including Dhulikhel Hospital. The training focused on following topics including home and hospital visits for practical demonstration: Health Promotion and prevention, motivational interview and communication The family intervention model for the newborn care Care of vulnerable newborn- screening and counselling CB-IMNCI guidelines in the context of Nepal and its implementation Attachment theory and different patterns with example of a screening tool-Alarm Distress Baby Scale (ADDB) to identify socially withdrawn or competent babyNormal pattern of psychomotor development of newborn WHO-growth chart to assess newborn growth and LactApps for the help on successful lactation. Danish model of home visits and mother group program The emotional and linguistic development of the baby- sleep, screening for postnatal depression of mother Assessment of gender violence, post-partum depression.
